Museum Lighting and Preservation
At Shresha Museum Solutions, we consider lighting not only a technical component of presentation, but an important aspect of cultural heritage conservation. How light behaves with an object is either to bring out its beauty or hasten its deterioration. We implement scientifically balanced lighting systems, which are guided by the standards provided in the National Park Service Museum Handbook, to shield artworks and artifacts from the permanent damage that results from exposure to UV and heat.
Our lighting solutions integrate UV-filtered LED light, smart controls, and precisely metered lux levels—keeping below 200 lux for storage and 50 lux for fragile materials like textiles, manuscripts, and photographs. Each lighting solution we design is always customized to the object's sensitivity, so exhibitions are visually stimulating without compromising the integrity of the collection.
In Shresha, we have faith that genuine museum greatness is this balance between visibility and preservation, where responsibility meets innovation—shedding light on history without jeopardizing its future.
